Phoenix Roofing is a family-owned business with over 50 years of experience in the industry. We're looking to provide the best value to our customers and the way we do that is building a roof system that lasts a lifetime.
In order to build relationships with our customers we've come up with some core values first of which is being pride. We give it a hundred percent all the time because that way we can look back on our work and be proud of it.
Integrity. To do the right thing for our customers especially when no one is looking that's when it counts the most.
Relationships. We look forward to building relationships with our customers.
Respect. That one's simple, we treat others how we want to be treated ourselves.
Accountability. Making true on our promises; if we say we're going to do something then we do. It as simple as that, you have my word on it.
And, that's what Phoenix roofing is all about.
I am proud to inform you that we are a preferred contractor with Owens Corning. To achieve the status we have to carry at least a million dollars in general liability insurance coverage. We had to pass a credit analysis by Dunn and Bradstreet, and we also had extensive training in the installation of Owens Corning products. What this means to you as a homeowner is that we are able to offer you an extended warranty and you also have the peace of mind that your Owens Corning product; your roofing system has been installed correctly.
A roofing system is so much more than just shingles. The Total Protection Roofing System is made up of all the essential components that are designed to work together to maximize your roofs performance and durability.
Roof removal is generally the first step of the re-roofing process. Upon removal of your existing roof, we will inspect the roof deck for dry rot and Phoenix roofing will not cover up any dry rot that needs to be replaced.
Phoenix Roofing will then install synthetic roofing underlayment which is 600 times stronger than traditional felt. This underlayment acts as a secondary water shedding barrier for long-term moisture protection.
We then install ice and water shield at the valleys and at penetrations, such as pipes protruding through your roof. These areas are historically proven to be the weakest areas of your roof system.
After installation of the ice and water shield we turn your most vulnerable points into the strongest areas of the roof system.
Okay here we have a chimney saddle with a built-in cricket system. And the cricket system is designed to shed water so that water is diverted from the backside of your chimney to go down this little ramp here and go around your chimney. This is very important because this is a major leak area in most homes.
For every roofing system that Phoenix Roofing installs we use this oversized pre painted nosing metal. It's a two inch by three inch which means you have three inches of lap on your roof deck. Two inches going down your fascia boards with a small kick-out to kick off water so your fascia boards don't get dry rot.
All too common, this one and a half inch by one and a half inch nosing metal is installed. It just doesn't offer the correct protection that you need for your roof.
As you see here we have an oversized safe that is the type of safe that we always include in our roof systems. Next to it I have your standard safe; it's much smaller but unfortunately it's what most of our competitors include in their roofs. What this equals to is more lap between the roofing shingle and your roofing and your pipe safe and this means an additional layer of protection for you and less likelihood of a leak to occur.
Next, we install starter shingles. This is the first step in the proper installation of the shingles. A continuous bead of sealant along the starter shingles prevent blow offs and water infiltration at the eaves. Starter shingles also create a clean look with a straight edge at the eaves.
The next step is to install your roofing shingles. The roof comprises up to 50% of the face of your home you see from the curb. Shingles are the star player for curb appeal. Owens Corning offers a wide variety of shapes sizes and colors to choose from. These shingles are the first line of defense when it comes to protecting your home and your family from the elements. Owens Corning shingles are designed to provide strength and durability without sacrificing beauty.
Your ventilation system will be installed at the same time as your roof shingles. We provide a variety of intake and exhaust vent options. It is important to have proper ventilation through your roof system and all of these products are designed to work together to help prevent heat and moisture build-up that can lead to premature aging and cracking of wood and other roofing materials. Unwanted heat can also transfer back down into your living areas which reduces energy efficiency.
Next is the installation of hip and ridge shingles. These materials add an attractive finished look to roof peaks and help protect the ridge vent. These final roofing shingles add a balance and additional layer of protection to your roof system.
Insulation is a great option in many cases. We only use top notch expanding blown insulation which has been proven to work in conjunction with your ventilation system to help reduce excessive heat and protect against moisture in the attic.
This completes a Total Protection Roofing System. Now you have a better understanding of the roofing essentials for your home. You now know roofing is so much more than just shingles. We as a company can stand proud and allow our valued customers to have peace of mind knowing that we are only using the best materials in the industry and equally as important we are constantly trained on how to properly install these specific materials. We truly understand that your home is your castle and we take pride in the trust our customers have placed with us to take care of all their roofing needs.
Phoenix Roofing understands that installing a complete roof system is a major investment. In fact for some folks it can be a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Phoenix specializes in P.A.C.E funding. P.A.C.E. stands for property assessed clean energy programs. These programs are funded by private money but are regulated and facilitated through local governments. Please make no mistake P.A.C.E. is not a grant, it is a loan that you will have to pay back. The difference between a P.A.C.E. loan and a conventional loan, however are:
1. Approval is based on your home's equity and not your FICO or income.
2. Financing is offered in partnership with the city and county and/or county.
3. Repayment of the loan is made through your property taxes. There is no upfront cost to you and can be amortized over 5, 10, 15, 20 and in some cases 25 years.
4. All P.A.C.E. contractors are screened before they are allowed to participate in the program
Phoenix is proud to be partners with HERO, Ygrene and CalFirst; all of whom are top notch P.A.C.E. funding providers. I am confident, I am sure that we can find the right funding for you.
